A Day's Promise

He kissed her blushing cheek goodbye
With the promise returning in a while
“Don’t be blue, my dear love,
I’ll be back before you know”
She frowned, feeling blue
“When will he come, I wish I knew”
The day went by and he came back
The moon now reunited with his sky
